  • 2025-26 Base Salary: $41,050.  Up to 13 years of experience are accepted for salary placement.

  • Fully-funded health insurance is included.  Mead is conveniently located 20 minutes west of Omaha, 20 minutes south of Fremont, and 40 minutes north of Lincoln, which provides for a number of housing options. We have a stable enrollment of approximately 275 students in grades PK-12. The benefits of our location and small size provide students, teachers, and families with a unique educational experience.

Mead Public School has the following vacancies for the 2026-2027 school year:

  • Junior High School Choir Accompanist

    • Mead Public Schools has possible opening for a junior high choir accompanist for the 2026-27 school year.  Applicants must be able to play piano at an advanced level, follow the teacher’s direction in rehearsals and performances, and sight-read music.  Responsibilities include playing warm-ups, individual voice parts, combined voice parts, and performance accompaniment.  The successful candidate must be available for Junior High Choir class on Tuesday and Thursday for First Semester, and likely Monday, Wednesday, and Friday for Second Semester.  The Junior High Choir Class is scheduled from 1:45-2:30. There are also 4-6 performances throughout the school year.  Payment will be based on an hourly rate. There are no benefits with this position.  Interested individuals should contact PJ Quinn, Superintendent, at 402 624-2745 to further discuss the position.
