3rd Grade Trip to the Pumpkin Patch

Third grade took a field trip to Vala's Pumpkin Patch. It was a cold day but the kids had fun. We enjoyed all the fun things Vala's had to offer in the morning. In the afternoon, we finished our unit on rocks and minerals by mining for minerals. Then we took a hay rack ride and picked pumpkins. It was a wonderful day.

The 1 st grade class observed and studied the plant parts of pea and bean seeds they had planted. The class includes Myles Anderson, Lauren Blomendahl, Tegan Clark, Emry Dommel, Katie Hartgrave, Hadley Havelka, Noah Heinen, Olivia Lee, Alina Novak, Dylan Parkins, Javier Portillo, Summer Richards, Maddy Schaal, Abby Schulz, Clayton Steinbach, Ella Wagenknecht, and Emery Walker.

Elementary Students Recognized for Citizenship

The students in the elementary building are being recognized for random acts of good citizenship. Citizenship is based on the characteristics of scholarship, responsibility, leadership, and respect for peers and staff. At the end of each month, students who most consistently display good citizenship are given a certificate.
