Hamburger Fry & Sport Scrimmages

On Thursday, August 17th, the community is invited to the annual Hamburger Fry in the High School Commons for some good food and an introduction to Mead Public Schools as we kick off the 2017-2018 School Year. Solar Eclipse Viewing Requires Permission Slip

On August 21, 2017, Mead will be in the path of a solar eclipse.  This event is being called "The Great American Solar Eclipse," because it is the first time since 1918 a solar eclipse will be visible on a path across the entire continental United States.  Planning is already underway to ensure our students can experience this once-in-a-lifetime event.  Mead Public Schools has purchased eclipse-safe viewing . . .

2017 Mead Raider Football T-Shirt Sale

Blooming Smiles!

The Mead FFA Chapter recently received a grant for "Blooming Smiles."  Chapter members collect donated flowers from funerals, weddings, etc. and re-purposes them as floral arrangements for community members, as random acts of kindness.  The group plans to expand the operation by purchasing a floral cooler and floriculture products to expand this project.  Mead was one of only five Nebraska schools to receive the . . .

Congratulations Mary Linscomb

Mary auditioned and has been selected to perform in the NAfME National Honor Choir.  The National Choir has 280 members (10 students from Nebraska).  Mary earned a chance to audition because she was selected for the NMEA All-State Choir, where she competed for a spot against students from all classes of schools in Nebraska.
