Students Visit Children's Hospital
Mead students involved in the health SENCAP program toured Children's Hospital and participated in a "Day in the Life" Experience that introduced them to various health careers. Students saw first-hand the care provided to a pediatric patient by different providers as they saw a simulated case study. Students learned about the various health professions, education requirements, and career paths. Some areas included emergency medicine, nursing, child life development, pharmacy, pathology, radiology, rehab services (PT, OT, speech therapy), respiratory therapy, clinical microbiology, and phlebotomy.
