4th Grade Quilters
A couple of the ladies from the Wahoo Crazy Quilters group stopped by 4th grade. They started by showing and telling the kids about the different patterns, how to put patches together and then how to put everything together to make a quilt. After that, we spent some time studying the Nebraska quilt the ladies had made. We worked our way through history to show all the symbols and meanings behind each patch. The students then spent the rest of the afternoon creating their own paper version of the quilt. This 4th grade class was the fifth class to complete the Nebraska quilt. If you get a chance to come by the elementary building, they are all hanging in the fourth grade hallway!
