Mead FFA Receives a $1,000 grant for Ag Shop Storage
Mead FFA received a $1,000 Working Here Fund grant for ag shop storage. The grant is provided through Farm Credit Services of America’s (FCSAmerica) Working Here Fund.
Mead FFA will be purchasing shop storage racks to house their current machines such as table saws, drill presses and welders. The new racks will offer a more efficient, safe and user-friendly structure for students to easily access the items they need.
“This storage issue being solved will allow our chapter/ag classes to take advantage of much needed space for course work and other lab based assignments,” said Cole Blomendahl, Mead FFA.
“At FCSAmerica, we welcome the opportunity to support the future of agriculture,” said Amy Blomenberg, vice president of retail operations at FCSAmerica’s Lincoln office.
Mead FFA is one of 107 organizations to receive a Working Here Fund grant in the first quarter of 2016. FCSAmerica awarded $179,000 during the latest grant cycle ending March 31, 2016.
