Lunch Dance Lessons
Ms. Shipman brought her country dance partner, Rob Pilcher, to give Mead a lunch time performance.
Both professionals are involved with Dancing with the Omaha Stars, which last year alone raised over $100,000 for the Sunshine Kids Foundation. These two showed off their dancing skills in two step, triple two, stationary cha cha, country swing, and some of the kids even joined them on stage for a line dance called Texas Star.
Every day for the last 15 minutes of lunch, there are dance classes in the gymnasium being offered by Ms. Shipman. Throughout the year she will be going over several dances, such as the country dances displayed at lunch, foxtrot, tango, waltz, rumba, salsa, cha cha, bachata, merengue, east coast and west coast swing, and others!
Dancing is a lifelong hobby, so we hope all students will give it a try, even just once!!
