November Events in Chorus

Kaylee Carlson, Mary Linscomb, and Rachel Slobodnik participated in the Midland University Gospel Honor Choir on Sunday, Nov 8th. The girls are members of the Mead High School Choir. Their final performance was at the Holland Performing Arts Center in downtown Omaha. Also performing on the concert were: Octavius Womack (earned fame on "America's Got Talent"), Salem Baptist Choir, Christ Community Choir and Orchestra, and Midland University Choirs and dancers. Mead graduate Chelsea Musgrave was one of the dancers performing on the concert. The combined final number was performed with over 500 performers on stage. Octavius also worked with the honor choir and directed some of their songs.

ECNC HIGH SCHOOL HONOR CHOIR
Bailey Davis, Megan Kinzle, Mary Linscomb, and Rachel Slobodnik attended the ECNC Conference Honor Choir on Monday, November 9th. The event was held at Elmwood-Murdock High School. Students from all schools in the conference form one choir, and work together for their final evening performance. The choir had approximately 135 members. Normally the students work with a guest clinician during this event. However, after a short time, the clinician became ill and the conference directors stepped in and worked with the choir to prepare their numbers for the final concert.

The Junior High ECNC honor choir also meets at the same school, but separately from the high school choir. They work with directors from the conference to prepare songs and sing on the same final concert as the high school honor choir. Members from Mead participating were:  Grace Popken, Lily Brestel, Lauren Holloway, Kyla Hrdlicka, Rebecca Halbmaier, Audra Delancey, Mystic Hargrave, Kelly Richards, Alexis Johnson, and Lexie Degerness.
