AcaDeca to Compete at State on Friday-Saturday

On Friday February 20th and Saturday February 21st, the Mead Academic Decathlon team will compete in the state meet as the 2014-2015 Rookie of the Year.  The meet will be held at the University of Nebraska-Omaha.

Don Hanson, Josiah Sohriakoff, Lynn Hanson, Kassidy Holloway, Bre Wirth, Ethan Dyas and Hana Mayfield will make up the Regular Team and compete in the Interview, Essay and Speech competitions in addition to the 6 subject area tests.

Dylan Berner and Michael Klahn will also compete at the Alternate level taking the subject area tests.

The Regular team members will also compete in the only part of the competition open to the public.

At approximately 2:00 pm on Saturday, the teams will meet in the Ballroom of the Milo Bail Student Center for the Super Quiz. 

Following the Super Quiz, at approximately 3:30 pm, there will be an awards ceremony to honor the students and teams who placed in the events over the two days of competition.  In addition, the Mead students will also be recognized as the Rookie of the Year.
