Volleyball, Football, Cross Country Teams Set to Open Seasons
Both the volleyball and football teams will open their season this week. The volleyball team will travel to East Butler on Thursday September 2nd for a triangular with East Butler and Cedar Bluffs. And then on Friday September 3rd, the football team will travel to Dodge for their season opening tilt with the Pirates. Additionally, the softball team will play two home games this week. On Tuesday August 31st the Patriots will play a home game in Yutan against Syracuse. The Varsity game will begin at 6:30 and is preceded by the junior varsity game at 5:00. Then on Thursday September 2nd the Patriots will make one of only two appearances in Mead with a game against Wahoo High School. The junor varsity game will start at 4:30 and the varsity will play at 6:00. And finally, on Friday September 3rd the Cross Country team will load up the van early in the morning and travel to Tecumseh for the annual Johnson County Central Invitational. The Raiders have four girls competing on the cross country team this year and therefore will be able to compete for the team title.
