Elementary Student Council News
During the 2nd Semester the Elementary Classes are playing BoxTop-ology. (A version of Monopoly) For each ten Box-Tops submitted by the class, their game piece is moved one piece forward. When they pass “GO” they earn $200 BoxTops money. Chance and Community Chest spaces are also a part of our game. Examples of cards that may be drawn are: “Your Science Experiment blew up and ruined the carpet, fine assessed $5” or "You won the school wide Spelling Bee, collect $50”. We started January 11th and students have submitted 1,000 BoxTops ($100). Stop in and check out our BoxTop-ology Board!
We are continuing to collect Campbell’s Soup Bar Codes and Aluminum Pop Tabs. We appreciate your support. Thanks!!
Other happenings: National Popcorn Day on January 25th-popcorn provided to classes to enjoy during Drop Everything and Read Time. Dress Up as a President on February 15th-President’s Day. Recycle Trash Art Contest (use things you would normally throw away to create something!! Can be individual or small group.
