Mead Community Group Announces Internet Safety Event
On Tuesday February 9th at 6:30 p.m. the Mead Community Group will be presenting a forum for parents on "Your Teen and You in Cyberspace. The forum will be held at Mead High School and all member of the community are invited to attend.
Participants in the forum will learn how to check their Internet cache, how to search their names on line and how to set passwords for profiles. General computer security as well as general guidelines for setting rules and boundaries regarding Internet use will also be discussed. Social networking sites such as Myspace, Facebook and YouTube will also be covered. Participants will look at, learn to create and learn to search social networking sites. Finally, we will briefly cover Key Stroke Logging, Cyber Snooping and how to deal with and prevent Cyber Bullying of your teen.
