Big dreams and good grades aren't enough to get into college. That's why EducationQuest Foundation is proud to sponsor the KnowHow2GONebraska campaign to help 8th – 10th grade students learn the steps needed to make college a reality.

Department of Education studies show that 8 out of 10 students expect to earn a bachelor's degree – but few know what it takes to fully prepare for college. In response, KnowHow2GO took the extensive to-do list for college planning and created four simple steps that students can follow — with the help of an adult.

The steps are:

  1. Be a pain – in a good way. Ask an adult to help you with college planning – and keep asking until you find someone who will.
  2. Push yourself. Take rigorous coursework in high school and get involved in extracurricular activities.
  3. Find the right fit. Research colleges that match your career interests and skills.
  4. Get your hands on some cash. Apply for scholarships and financial aid

KnowHow2GO is sponsored nationally by the American Council on Education, Lumina Foundation for Education, and the Ad Council – and in Nebraska by EducationQuest Foundation.
