2011 Horatio Alger Scholarship

The Horatio Alger Association seeks to assist students who have demonstrated integrity, perseverance in overcoming adversity, strength of character, financial need, a good academic record, commitment to pursue a college education, and a desire to contribute to society.
Eligibility:
*graduate in spring/summer of 2011
*intend to pursue and complete a bachelor's degree
*critical financial need (preferably $50,000 or lower adjusted gross income per family)
*involvement in co-curricular and community service activities
*minimum GPA of 2.0
*US citizen
To apply:
*submit online application by October 30
*submit one letter of support
*mail certification page and official high school transcript
*mail photocopy of front page of parent/guardian's federal tax return
