Davis/Chambers Scholarship
Deadline: April 1
The Davis/Chambers Scholarship recognizes academically promising
students from diverse backgrounds who often find that the financial
requirements of postsecondary education are a major obstacle.
The application may be used by students applying for admission or
already admitted to any of the following Nebraska Community College
Areas:
*Central Community College
*Metropolitan Community College
*Mid-Plains Community College
*Northeast Community College
*Southeast Community College
*Western Nebraska Community College
Applicants must complete the application and on a separate sheet of
paper respond to each of the following: (no longer than one page
for each item)
1. What knowledge and experiences have you had living or
working in a diverse community or organization? Please
provide specific examples.
2. Please explain any obstacles you have had to overcome due
to your neighborhood and/or community circumstances.
In addition to completing the application, students must make sure
they have applied for admission to the college, taken a college
placement test (ACT or COMPASS/ASSET), and filed the FAFSA.
Official transcripts must also be sent with the
application.
