Prudential Spirit of Community Award

The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards were created to recognize students in middle and high school grades who have demonstrated exemplary community service.
How does the program work?

*volunteers in grades 5-12 complete an online application by clicking here.  (Access key: spirit)
*school reviews the applications and selects one middle school honoree and one high school honoree
*the top high school and middle school volunteer from each state are named state winners in February

Local honorees receive certificates and receive the President's Volunteer Service Award
State honorees receive $1000, engraved silver medallions and an all expense paid trip with a parent/guardian to Washington DC
National honorees receive additional $5000 awards, engraved gold medallions and crystal trophies

Who is eligible?

*any student in grades 5-12
*has engaged in a volunteer activity that occurred at least in part after September 1, 2007
*completes an online application
