RAIDER FFA CHAPTER SHINES AT STATE COMPETITION

by Krissy Johnson

On April 3rd and 4th, Mead High School had the privilege of sending four CDE (Career Development Event) qualifying teams to the Nebraska chapter of state competition in Lincoln, NE. All teams placed relatively well especially the Agriscience and Landscape Team who both were in the top third. Also entered were the Food Science and Floriculture Teams who receive conciliation titles. The Freshman Agriscience Team did well with their dissection task and the Nursery/Landscape team ranked in the top third of over a hundred different chapters. The Food Science and Floriculture Teams also enjoyed fun assignments that varied from building burritos to creating their own corsage. They're hoping to continue their winning streak in the years to come.
