Mead Youth Community Service Scholarship
by Dawn Moser
Every student attending Mead Public School in grades 9-12 is eligible to achieve community service scholarship hours. The hours will accumulate until May before their graduating year. The Mead Youth Community Development Scholarship will reward one graduating senior from MPS with $1000 to be used for post-secondary education. The student with the most community service hours will receive a scholarship. There is a minimum of at least 100 hours of community service required. All community service hours must be documented and validated by a project coordinator. Hours must be documented on a weekly time sheet that will be available on the Mead town web site or at the school office. Time sheets can be turned in to the Bank of Mead or to the school. Time sheets must be turned in weekly or monthly. For more information, see Miss Moser.
